New Year’s Meetings – Make a Resolution to Get Involved

2013 saw major advances in marijuana reform with the passage of marijuana legalization initiatives in Colorado and Washington. 2013 also saw major setbacks in California’s medical marijuana laws with court decisions allowing cities and counties to ban medical marijuana distribution and cultivation.

2014 will be a pivotal year in marijuana reform and medical marijuana but whether we continue the advance toward legal marijuana and overcome the hostile environment the police have created and the courts have supported in California depends on the efforts and involvement of thousands of marijuana advocates whether they be medical or recreational.

I know many of you reading this have thought many times, “I need to get involved.” Make a resolution for 2014 to finally “get involved” and let’s keep moving in the right direction on legalization and get medical marijuana back on path in California. The best way to begin that involvement is to attend a meeting to find out what is going on and to learn the activities that you can participate in.

Here’s what is happening over the next week – surely you can and want to take a couple hours and attend one of these meetings.
