Region 19 Democratic Meeting "Learning The Grassroots"

Hi Folks,

For those of you who want to learn more about Democratic politics and want to get more involved, you might find it informative to attend the Region 19 meeting this Saturday, June 15 from 10 .a.m. to 12 noon in Beaumont. This is doubly true if you live in Region 19 which is comprised of Assembly Districts 42, 56, 67 and 71.

As you can see from the agenda printed below, the meeting will cover the latest updates on both local and state Democratic activities. Most importantly, they will review resolutions submitted by Riverside County delegates and clubs. Our resolution on access for patients is one of those that will be reviewed.

Since our resolution has already been submitted to the Executive Committee of the California Democratic Party with the support of the Riverside County Democratic Central Committee, its review by Region 19 is more a formality than anything else, so no overwhelming show of community support is needed. However, the meeting will give you a good idea of what the grassroots of the Democratic Party does and its role in the development of policy endorsed and supported by rank and file Democrats like you.

The meeting on June 15 runs from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and is being held at the Beaumont Women’s Club, 306 E. 6th St. Beaumont 92223. The organizers have asked that participants RSVP so that they can provide adequate seating and refreshments .If you are planning on going, please let me know so I can let them know how many of us to expect.
